Yes. We regularly work on antique, vintage and unusual lighting. Each piece is assessed individually, and if we don’t believe a suitable repair is possible, we’ll let you know before proceeding.

Our average turnaround time is approximately 10 working days. Some repairs are completed sooner, while more complex work or parts availability can occasionally mean it takes a little longer.

Payment is made once your repair is complete and your light is ready. You can pay by bank transfer or secure payment link before collection or return.

Our standard process is for payment to be made before collection or return. Payment on collection may not always be available, so please use the bank details or secure payment link provided.

Your postcode helps us check your Collection & Return options and plan our routes. If we happen to be in your area when your repair is ready, we may occasionally be able to offer a complimentary return.

No. If we send you a booking link, you can use the calendar directly. If a slot is showing as available, simply book it. If there’s ever an issue with your booking, we’ll contact you.

Usually, no. We only need the parts relevant to the repair. Bulbs, lampshades and other removable items can normally be left at home unless they form part of the fault.

No. We normally supply all materials and replacement components. This allows us to use the correct parts for your light and helps keep the work covered by our 12-month workmanship guarantee.

If we discover that your light needs additional work, we’ll normally contact you before proceeding. For very small additional costs, usually around £5–£10, we may occasionally continue without delaying the repair.

Our workshop is based in West London, NW10, near North Acton on the Central Line and close to the A40. We operate by appointment only, and full workshop details are provided when you book.

Yes. Our Collection & Return Service operates approximately every two weeks for residential customers. Once you add yourself to the collection list, we’ll contact you with the collection details.

Our standard residential Collection & Return Service runs approximately every two weeks. If we’re already working in your area, we may sometimes be able to collect sooner. Business and trade customers may also be able to arrange weekday collections.

A repair is usually about finding and fixing a specific fault, which may include replacing damaged or faulty components.

A rewire is more extensive and may be recommended when the existing cable or electrical setup is no longer suitable — for example, if the cable is deteriorated, the light is not correctly earthed, or the wiring does not meet current UK safety standards.

If we believe your light requires a rewire rather than a repair, we’ll explain this in your assessment before any work is carried out.

Yes. We can polish suitable metalwork on lamps, chandeliers and light fittings.

With older, antique or vintage pieces, results can vary depending on the condition of the metal, existing finish, plating and previous wear. We’ll assess the item first and advise what is realistically achievable.

Yes. We can supply suitable light bulbs for your lamp or light fitting where required.
Please note that bulbs are charged separately and are not included in the standard repair or rewiring cost unless stated otherwise.

No. We specialise in the repair and rewiring of lamps, chandeliers and light fittings, but we do not repair or sell lampshades.

 Yes. We stock a wide range of coloured braided cables, including traditional antique shades and more contemporary colours. Once we’ve assessed and quoted for the rewire, we can show you the available options so you can choose a colour and style that suits your lamp.
